| Howard and Linda created Belle Vue Farm Cottages as a haven for people who are looking for that perfect relaxing break with quality, private accommodation, and a private course fishing pond. Overlooking the historic market town of Stanhope, in what was once a vast hunting ground belonging to the Prince Bishops of Durham, Belle Vue Farm Cottages is beautifully located in a peaceful and restful environment with panoramic views across the dale. Away from the hustle and bustle of modern life in accommodation that is detached from the farmhouse, our quiet, private, quality accommodation provides the ideal base from which to explore the region including it's many walks and cycle routes, or to simply relax and enjoy the views from our sitting area or small carp fishing pond. In addition to ground and first floor double en-suite rooms, we also offer a ground floor twin en-suite room which is suitable for guests with restricted mobility. In 2007, the accommodation was awarded a commendation for access from Durham County Council in the Small and Medium Enterprises Category. Nominated by Anne Cowie, of the Wear Valley Disability Access Forum Ltd, who commented " The owners have provided the only accessible bed & breakfast accessible accommodation not only in Weardale but the whole of the Wear Valley." For more information including room photographs, places to visit, where to eat, and local taxi firms please visit the Belle Vue Farm Cottages website. Ground floor rooms are annexed to the breakfast room and connected externally by wheelchair friendly paving. We operate a no smoking policy in all rooms, though smoking is permitted in the grounds. Private carpark, landscaped grounds, sitting area, and small carp fishing pond which are accessible by wheelchair. Secure storage, workshop and spare parts for bicycles. Continental breakfast. Rooms may be reserved with a non-refundable deposit of £20.00 per room per night. Payment upon arrival. Sorry no children under 14 yrs. No pets. Nominated in the RICS North East Renaissance Awards. | |
